Definition:

The District of Columbia Department of Transportation (DDOT) manages and maintains the majority of the roads, streets, bridges, traffic signals, and related transportation infrastructure within the District of Columbia. DDOT is responsible for the management and response to regional emergencies regarding streets and roadways in the District of Columbia. DDOT operates the DDOT TMC.
