Best Practices Award

Kent Chamber of Commerce honored Cascade Gasket and Manufacturing Company by presenting them with the Best Practices Award during the Business Leadership Excellence Awards Ceremony

Cascade Gasket and Manufacturing Inc., represented by general manager Mike Moran, was recognized as a company that implemented or improved operational practices to achieve better customer service, quality, and operational effectiveness or employee satisfaction.

Moran said that the company has increased its competitive wages and perks to make it a better place to work for employees. The company was also nominated for Boeing Supplier of the Year in 2005. He recently spoke at a Boeing supplier conference as one of three world-class suppliers.

"Receiving the Best Practices Award gives us confirmation that we're proceeding in the right direction to be proactive to our customers and the needs of our community as far as our corporate responsibility," said Moran.
